The SPINAL DECOMPRESSION PROGRAM at Dynamic Rehabilitation Services offers a comprehensive program assessing the specific needs of someone with a diagnosed disc herniation who is hoping to avoid surgical decompression.

The program incorporates a comprehensive approach that works to decrease pain and muscle spasms by using various appropriate Physical Therapy modalities such as heat, cold, stimulation, massage and hands on manual treatment. Once the adjacent muscular spasms are lessened, a progressive program of spinal traction is employed to reduce the disc herniation. The traction is multi-positional, progressive force spinal distraction provided with the Chattanooga System. Following traction is an individually designed program of active muscular stabilization exercises. These exercises take the specific needs of each patient into consideration and work to strengthen the core trunk muscles. A stronger trunk will lessen the forces on the spine that cause further disc integrity disruption.

The program is provided by experienced, competent Physical Therapists in a comfortable, easily accessible office with hours that are convenient to all schedules.
